Meet The Director:

Michelle DeSimone-Shirley Took her first dance class at a very young age in a small hometown studio. Since then she has studied with Boston Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Broadway Dance Center, and Steps on Broadway.  She currently studies and performs regulary with Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in Boston.

Michelle attended Dean College School of Dance, where she earned her Associates Degree. She continued her education by attending credited training programs including Dance Teachers Club of Boston and Dance Educators of America. 

She is now a certified teacher through these organizations. 

Michelle has taught in the Boston area since 2000.  In 2004 she accomplished her life long dream of operating her own dance studio. 

Her passion for the art of dance and her love of children show in her teaching, directing, and overall philosophy of the dance studio.

The Staff

2009-2010 Season

Miss. Michelle:  Along with directing the studio Michelle still teaches the majority of all the dance classes.

Miss. Jessica:  Teaching Ballet, Tap, and Jazz to our students ages 4 - 11

Miss. Jen:  Teaching Tap to our most advanced students as well as Ballet and Jazz to our dancers ages 6-8

Miss. Jennifer:  Teaching Ballet and Tap to our youngest dancers ages 3-4

Miss. Maria:  Teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop to all ages.

Christine:  Our multi talented office manager.  She does everything from returning phone calls, fitting for dance shoes, and keeping Michelle's head on straight!
