If your child is looking for an opportunity to perform more frequently (outside of our June dance recital) then consider joining our Performance Company!​
The Creative Steps Performance Company is a group of dancers who will perform at various community and charity events. Our Company members will perform around 7 times through out the school year.
​
The events that we perform for are great ways to give back to our community as well as assisting larger charity organizations to raise thousands of dollars for things like Cancer Research and Children's Hospital Programs.
​
Being a member of our Performance Company is a rewarding experience in which we can use our passion and gift of dance to spread joy and help others. All Performance Company members have the ability to use our work on their college applications too!

What Is The Performance Company?​
All enrolled Creative Steps Dancers ages 9 and up can sign up to be on the Performance Company! The only requirement is that you are an enrolled and currently registered student in our studio.

The Performance Company meets every Saturday afternoon for 45 minutes each week from September through May. In this rehearsal dancers will learn the choreography needed for their upcoming performances.
​
Aside from your weekly Saturday Rehearsal you will be asked to perform in various shows. All shows are typically on Sundays and dates will be set/announced late August for the whole school year. Dancers must be available for all show dates.

Our annual community performances include: Newton Village Days, Fall Church Fairs, Newton Harvest Fest
Our annual charity benefit concerts include: Move For The Movement, Dancers at Heart and Dancers Unite. These all raise money for cancer research as well as for Boston Children's Hospital.
What Is The Additional Cost?
The cost of joining the Performance Company is minimal. You will just be asked to pay for your weekly 45 minute rehearsal class.

For example you are enrolled in a 1 hour a week regular dance class, plus the 45 minute Company Rehearsal Class -- that is a total of dancing 1 hour 45 minutes per week. You will pay tuition based on our monthly Tuition Chart - see here.

Aside from that there are no additional fees. Creative Steps will provide each dancer with a Company T Shirt to wear at community events. We will also provide costumes needed for stage shows. All costumes are property of Creative Steps and must be returned, but the T Shirt is yours to keep.
​
There will be tickets sold to the Charity Shows for any adults wanting to come and see the show. However all monies are donated to charity so it is a great cause!

How Do I Sign Up?
Please enroll for a Performance Company Rehearsal Class through your Parent Portal.
​
Each Company Rehearsal is designated by a color. Please enroll according to age/level.
No special invite or audition needed, anyone can join! If you would like advice on which color to join please email us.

Green Team: Ages 9 - 11
Red Team: Ages 12 - 14
Blue Team: Ages 13 - 15
Pink Team: Ages 15 - 18
Orange Team: Ages 16 - 18
